Elizabeth Gordon and Lee Kantor host each show. Elizabeth is the author of the upcoming book The Chic Entrepreneur: Put Your Business In Higher Heels and owner of Flourishing Business, an advisory firm for entrepreneurs. Lee Kantor is also the host of the popular Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy show and several other Atlanta-based radio shows. This afternoon we spoke to Ann Revell-Pechar with Revell-Pechar Public Relations & Marketing. Her firm's sweet spot is in all things Internet, but Ann has extensive experience in security, storage and enterprise technologies, and has been closely involved with biotechnology and the life sciences communities. Ann spent 18 years in Seattle before she moved to Atlanta. Over her career, Ann has launched 60 companies and 100s of products, from Aventail to F5, from NetNanny to MetaInfo and Real Networks (now RealAudio). Not limiting her practice to the small, Revell-Pechar is adept at managing the reputation of established firms as well, from New Enterprise Associates to Ziff Davis Publishing. Several clients, like VoIP company Teleo, have been acquired by major corporations (in this case, Microsoft). Others are now public, and others have simply grown and continue to manage their privately held firms. Ann is Chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta, where she strives to make Georgia ripe for technology entrepreneurship. She has also served on numerous non-profit and business advisory boards in Seattle, Baltimore and Atlanta. During the interview Ann shared some great tips for getting ready for the media as well as how to create your elevator pitch.
